E.Y.E. is a full-time child care facility based on the site of Lady Bankes Schools, catering for children between the ages of two and five years.

The nursery was set up in 1992 by the Senior Team from the Infant School and is still closely connected to the schools. The learning provision is monitored by qualified staff.

Children learn in a large purpose built room with a quiet room attached plus safe outdoor areas. There are plenty of toilets and washing facilities.

There is a staff/pupil ratio which conforms to OFSTED STANDARDS. Children are put into groups with a key-worker who will closely relate to your child and monitor your child's progress.

Our aim is to provide a happy, well structured teaching environment in which the children have opportunities to develop physically, intellectually, emotionally, socially and aesthetically at their own pace in a variety of pre-planned learning situations.

Children receive teaching and learning from the Early Years Foundation Stage. We therefore plan a teaching/learning programme which covers the six areas of learning. These continue into the Reception Year in school.

Your role as parents is crucial to your child's education. We positively encourage your involvement with us as partners.

We want you therefore, to feel at home in the Nursery and as we get to know each other we can share your child’s progress in learning and enjoy mutual support for the sake of your child.
